  • 110,000 miles
Early morning commute to work, traveled southbound on ca highway 15, proximate to miramar way exit. Vehicle began to smoke, engine hood sprang open, other drivers indicating that smoke and flames coming from front engine - as hood blocking view. I continued to side of the road, jumped out and watched front end of engine become engulfed in flames! watched entire front end of car burn, during this time highway patrol / fire patrol called. Fire claim number- [xxx]. contacted tow company to take - tow driver told me that this was the third Dodge challenger he had salvaged in the past month - with the same issue! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
