Purchased a 2008 Dodge Charger from a flagship dealer in July 2010 with 20,000kms (13,000 miles) on it and remaining factory warranty until May 2011. While trying to park at work, the Charger suddenly accelerated for no reason on its own and applying the brakes had no effect. The parking lot light post is what it took to stop the car. Furthermore, the air bag did not deploy. I am having an independent unbiased diagnostic performed on the car from a reputable garage, and pending the result, will have an engineer perform an assessment afterward. I am building a file to pursue Chrysler for my damages or to hold them responsible if a future recall is issued.
