Charger SRT8 6.1L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,268 miles

So on 01 January 2016, I was taking my son to the auto parts store and on our return from the store back to Fort Meade, Maryland I was involved in an accident were I unfortunately rear ended another vehicle at approx. 40 mph. Neither the Drivers or Passenger Airbags deployed from the accident and I suffered from additional injuries to my neck that added more time in surgery and time on convalescent leave. My son had minor whip lash and a pretty good headache as well. Why weren't the recall notices sent out and taken care of before this? When I call the dealership they say that the parts are on back order. Here we go again, yet again another major SAFETY Issue that makes my car not safe to drive!!!!

Charger

I WAS REAR ENDED IN MY DODGE CHARGER AND THE IMPACT WAS HARD ENOUGH TO MAKE THE ENTIRE UNIT THAT HOLDS THE RADIO, AIR CONDITIONER, ETC... TO POP RIGHT OUT OF THE DASH BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT INFLATE AT ALL DURING THE ACCIDENT WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER FOR ME HAD I HIT MY HEAD OR SOMETHING ON THE STEERING WHEEL! I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT IS OKAY, WHAT IS THE POINT IN HAVING AIR BAGS INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLES IF THEY DON'T WORK WHEN NECESSARY? THIS IS A TERRIBLE DEFECT!!
