However, the failure returned immediately after leaving the dealer. The contact returned to the dealer and was advised to drive the vehicle and the code would clear independently. The battery saver mode continued to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer who stated that the alternator was faulty. The technician later determined that the voltage regulator needed to be repaired. The repair was performed. The failure returned. In addition, the contact stated the headlight assembly failed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the headlight assembly was burned out. The vehicle was repaired but since the failure persisted the vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the a new PCM would resolve the issue. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
