The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. While parked, the engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle did not start. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed. The contact stated that the engine warning light illuminated and the radio lost electrical power prior to when the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V634000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
