Water pump started making whistling noise. Sounded like two pieces of metal scraping against each other. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. Dealer said they couldn't locate the problem. I pointed out the noise was coming from the water pump. Dealer investigated it, and determined the pump was failing. Pump was replaced.
