So I am driving down the expressway on a 100 degree day in Houston and the alternator light pops on and my car SHUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE LANE. I was going 60mph!
I got it started after I put my hazards on and turned off the air conditioning ( YES IN 100° HEAT!) and drove 20 mph off the ramp to side streets and crawled a few miles home.
I have a part time job delivering food (I am a teacher and have a student loan that would make a loan shark blush) and was in between a double shift.
The brake lights and ABS and skid lights a came on too.
I called the dealership in Sprint Texas where I bought the car and asked what could possibly be wrong with a year old car with only 35k miles on it.
That is when they told me about the recall for the Charger 2013.
I NEED my car now. It was so HOT driving home and the interior of my car is black.

Car began to act funny, battery light came on and within 3 miles had total system failure. Car shut down while I was driving and I was unable to steer and brake properly. I am only thankful I was not driving on the highway. Once stopped my hazard lights did not work so I was stuck dead in the middle of the road. I had to have the car towed to the Dodge dealership and they had my car 3 days before fixing the problem, which was their recall! I did not get a loaner vehicle nor did they seem like they were in a hurry to do the job. I will never buy a Dodge again, especially since I just got a different recall notice in the mail for another issue.
