The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, the lifters were making an abnormal tapping sound. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that there was no recall coverage for the failure. The mechanic determined that the tapping sound was due to the lifters, which were causing excessed wear on the camshaft. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a ticking sound coming from the engine. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced bucking, surging, hesitation, loss of power, and an engine misfire. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the failure was due to premature wear of internal components within the engine and that the rocker arms, lifters, and camshaft were faulty. The contact was informed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 125,000.

While driving on the interstate at a high rate of speed the MDS engaged and suddenly, the engine dies. I am unable to accelerate and have to coast across 3 lanes of traffic to reach the emergency lane. The timing chain tensioner and timing chain guides had broken into multiple pieces and the timing chain was also broken. The failure of the timing components resulted in warped values, bent push rods and catastrophic engine failure. This left me sitting in my car on the side of the interstate for several hours in the dark. There were no warning lamps or any problems with how the engine had operated before it suddenly died. All parts that have been removed from the car have been kept for inspection. There is a recall for the same OEM timing components failing and causing sudden engine failure for 2009-2012 Dodge Chargers. Dodge used the same timing tensioner, timing arm guide, and timing chains in Chargers built from 2009 to 2019. Why would the recall be extended to all years that used these parts. If they had recalled all the years those parts were used my car engine would not quit suddenly at 80mph and I have to coast across three lanes of traffic or sit in the emergency for hours waiting on a ride..

Engine shut off while driving on the street. My safety was at risk as cars behind me almost rear end me and just avoid me as i did not break myself. so i did not have break lights on because engine just shut off not yet made an appointment to have it check not yet, need it to be check by dealer no light no warnings at all

Brakes- total brake failure of my car isn't heated up to the third line. Engine- loud ticking. Mechanic said 1 out of 12 lifters in driver's side cylinder has collapsed. Power train- when I accelerate in over drive my check engine light comes on for a couple days. When I diagnose it, it says torque converter failure. (overdrive failure) so I'm guessing I have no overdrive until the check engine light shuts back off. (who knows) Dodge/chrystler needs to check into the quality of the cars they're producing. I will neber buy another Dodge/chrystler/Jeep

The coolant temperature went about limit and the coolant temperature light would go on while driving and I had to park the vehicle to cool the engine down. This keeps repeat very often, I filled coolant oil couple of times when I do that it works fine for couple of days and then repeats again. Took the vehicle to the dealer to check what the problem is with the coolant tempature and they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle.

Vehicle developed rocker arm tick or 'pentastar tick' from the left side head during a highway trip, vehicle experienced loss of power when accelerating and slightly shook car at idle. This failure and the cause of the noise is due to faulty rocker arms

The vehicle then stalled while exiting the freeway with several warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to los angeles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (2025 S figueroa St, los angeles, ca 90007) and was diagnosed that the computer failed to operate as designed due to the amplified music that was installed. The contact stated that the computer software was completed prior to the failure when the same dealer had called her an informed her about an unknown recall to update the computer software and was to schedule an appointment. The recall was completed. The vehicle was not yet repaired for the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,500.

Check engine light blinking and dealer told me the codes pointed to electrical wires ans censors but after checking the entire system there was no problems detected.they advice me to replace PCM and tune up which is normally due around 100.000 miles.

The vehicle was towed to her residence and then towed to bluff road auto sales located at 1400 bluff rd, columbia, SC 29201, (803) 451-0334, where it was diagnosed with needing the battery cable to be replaced. The vehicle had the repairs completed but continued to experience the failure. The contact stated at a later date, while parking the vehicle, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed back to the used car dealer but was not diagnosed as to the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 69,000. Invalid VIN.

Engine light came on, code was cam positioning sensor, had that replaced, dealer also told us we needed the computer re-flashed. Did that also, car ran good for about two weeks then died on freeway, took it back in they said it is the main computer, ordered that, waited two weeks for it to show up, got it installed, still wouldn't run. They dug in dealer and found that the timing chain guide shattered and the timing chain broke. Reading on line this was common in the 09 - 12 models, why isn't the 13 covered?

Slight 'miss' at idle all the time intermittent weak starting odd 'sometimes' problems: 1-cruise control won't come on at all 2-if cruise is on, will not decelerate car on a decline (always above speeds of 55mph intermittent at speeds 55 and below) 3-U connect problems-no bluetooth, passenger door unlock inoperative from outside passenger or driver door at handles(must push button on door panel or on fob)no power at usb or has power but not sensing accessory at usb, no audio from audio port (2013 Charger not on compatible vehicles list for any U connect so why did it get installed?) 4-menu up down ^ buttons on steering wheel don't work 5-burning electrical/rubber smell inside car 5.5-air handler switching problems defrost/floor/dash (seems like defrost always on) 5.75-headlights dim/brighten while in use 5.8-power train probs intermittent(feels like it's towing something behind it as far as power to vehicle from engine) 5.85-overall shifting probs delayed or lacking in power or hard shifting both from park into gear and automatic shifting through gears most noticeable from park into any gear 5.9-while in park at idle traction control light comes on 5.95-engine hesitates causing the vehicle to 'jerk' as if brakes were applied, without warning, not at any specific time (long drive, short drive, reverse, overdrive, hot, cold, whenever) none of the above have ever caused it to throw a code, so have been undetectable by dealership. Except the U connect items which they said should be fixed by updates and weren't. (6&7-before thermostat replaced(just now)) 6-heater fan sounds like it's working but isn't and will suddenly come on full speed 7-heat will blow at good temp. Then suddenly be too hot and burn my hands on steering wheel all 'documentation' is in video.cant upload. Happened since purchased new. All recalls addressed. Mileage now 76850. Thanks.

When I first purchased the vehicle it had a tick I asked the dealership what was that they told me it was a (hemi tick) that all Chargers had that sound so I drove it to around 100, 000 miles and while driving down the road it begin to make this loud noise sounding like a truck. I took it to the shop and they told me my number 3 plug or whatever it's called was misfiring took it to crown Dodge and they told me that it was going to cost me 8,599 to fix this probkem that I always had. Now I took it to another dealership and they told me before looking at it what was wrong come to find out I have the same vehicle as every sheriff in our town and he has fixed everyone of their vehicles with the exact same problem this sounds like a problem that is going on with a lot of these Chargers and this is just weird to me it's no coincidence that I have talked to at least 20 other people with the same car as mine with the same issue. I want to know what can I do about this problem.

48hrs after I received and oil change I was driving to victorville California from san bernardino California and as I was exiting my exit my car turned off as I was driving. Car would not start. Tried to jump it and the engine would not turn over. I towed it to the shop after some troubleshooting they said it was the engine.. it had locked up. I was quoted $2500 for repairs
