The brake issues with Dodge Dakota is beyond ridiculous. Over the past 35,000 miles I have replaced {total of three times} both calipers, rotors and brake pads. Like everyone else I took it to a Dodge Dealership and their answer was some BS they make up or to blame my driving habits. { I drive 10-15 miles per day & and all Highway {toll road} so no traffic at all.

I really wish the companies that make OEM parts were held responsible if defective but they just give us BS lies to save themselves. It's sad to say but are those company's well being/money more important than my wife and two children safety/lives? I have little to no faith in the required government recalls because the dealerships know they can get away with whatever. I just want a safe vehicle that I can trust and not have to worry about.

I've been experiencing the a problem on my 2001 Dakota Sport. I bought it used and shortly after noticed the rotors were progressively warping. I replaced them with better pads and new powerslot rotors and was thrilled for several months. That is until the brake system began to not relieve the pressure on the calipers. The problem actually switches between left and right and seems to be non existent on short drives. I have been given many ideas as to what the problem might be but none have lead to a resolution. I plan to replace the flex hoses and replace the fluid to see if that helps. So far the rotors and pads seem to be working smoothly and i don't want to focus on replacing them until I can find the root of the problem. Any thoughts you might share would be greatly appreciated.
