Sometimes at idle oil pressure gauge drops to zero. Rev engine and oil pressure gauge returns to normal.

Engine low oil pressure alarm/check gauges sounds at idle after engine is at temperature. Dealer indicated the oil pressure OK and believed it to be an electrical problem but refused to fix it.

My truck logs less than 100 miles a year. I turn it on biweekly to ensure the battery does not go dead. The truck has run without a hitch since I bought it at a used car dealer. The previous owner took good care of the truck and change oil periodically, as required. I change the oil & filter every 12 months or 200 miles. After more than 5 years of flawless performance the oil pressure drops to 0 in idle and sets off the check gauges red idiot light, then peaks the low "L" end of the gauge with an annoying ticking sound. I changed the oil and filter and it stopped briefly but then resumed with the tick, tick, tick all the way home. "Houston we have a problem".
Whats it going to cost me to have the oil pump changed?
Is there a recall for this obvious workmanship problem.?
