I wash my truck faithfully, top and underneath. That is probably why it lasted as long as it did without rusting. The most conspicuous rust is over the rt hand rear wheel opening. The other rust is on the bottom of the left hand doors. (Trailing edge bottom of the driver's door and leading bottom edge of rear left door).
Driving around the KC area I notice other Dodge pickups with the same problem. It is a crying shame that Dodge has not addressed this problem.
I plan on keeping my truck until my kids take my keys away---it runs great, it looks great except for the @$%^&
rust. Glenn Lorei

It's an 2005!!!! SHOULD BE NO RUST! I literally wash my truck once a week and vacuum. If you can say I don't take care of my truck I should just punch you.

This truck is only 7 years old and already there is rust on the drivers side rear fender.

I paint cars for work and play, and I found it really disgusting on how fast dodge rust compared to the other pickups out there. I'm talking the last ten years.I can honestly cut out the rusty piece weld or glue in and refinish.Protect, then give you a longer hold out date. Dodge needs PPG and if they might be using it,there's no material on them. There is less on the sides than the top.Look at the bottom of your doors,98% of the vehicles on the road today have hardly to no paint on them.Dodge is the box sides and rad support.

I bought this truck on 5/9/2019 and on 6/8/2019 I went to replace the tires, and when the mechanic went to lift the vehicle he heard a loud crack. This was due to the excessive rust the previous owner covered up and painted (that is why I did not see the problem). Under MA lemon law I have 30 days to return the vehicle if it is damaged. I found this out on day 30 but I was unable to reach the previous owner. When I did finally reach him 3 days later he said there were no frame problems while he had it.
Anyone know if I have a legal foot to stand on, because the tire company has me coming in on day 30. He offered to set me up with a welder to fix the problem but never followed through. It is pretty convenient that someone keyed the truck and he got it totaled under a non-collision total. And got his money and the truck back, hid the problem, and sold it to me.
