transmission doesn't engage into gear fully transmission doesn't engage into gear fully

On March 1, 2008 I pulled my 2007 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4 into my driveway. I left the truck running and the lights on while I let my dog out and unloaded some supplies. When I finished I reached into the truck and turned the key off. My truck started rolling backwards and I could here a clicking noise. I tried pulling up on the gear shifter but it wouldn't pull up. The truck door drug me about 12 feet down my driveway then it ran over my left arm between my shoulder and elbow. I also had abrasions on both knees, the knuckles of my right hand and a 12 inch long bruise across both hips. Chrysler said they didn't find anything wrong but the service manager said the parking pawl stopped between park and reverse and when the key was turned off the truck went backwards. This is not the first incident Chrysler has had on this problem. The transmission, 42RLE, is the same one that was in the 2005 Dakota that was recalled.
