I just bought this car last month, from my knowledge it has not been repaired, this is my first time buying a car or I would have never purchased it, one month after getting the car I finally receive a history report and I find out I have 6 recalls, have been having so many issue with this car since the week I purchased it, the speedometer does not work in heat and apparently the blower motor to the a/c as well huge inconvenience buying in the summer, the recalls state I have issue to look forward to in the winter as well. My parking brake does not work and I notice that the car rolls slightly in park, I have to press down hard on the gas just to pull out of my parking space in the morning it does not shift into reverse properly and I have been told by many people my brakes are bad despite them being changed recently and another recall says it-??s a brake pad issue, I cannot test the other recalls because I am not a mechanic and I have not gotten into an accident but I would like to know if my airbags work and why my engine is having problems despite paying to get it fixed and still having issues

I recently purchased a 2013 dodge dart sxt and not even 6 months later while driving this vehicle I noticed there was a loss of pressure with my clutch pedal when shifting gears. It initially seemed to return to normal and work fine at times but very quickly declined. At first I'd have some pressure in the clutch but that quickly went to having none whatsoever and the clutch not coming up from the floor. This happened while I was driving and just to get my vehicle home I had to get up to around 2500 rpm to shift. The clutch stays engaged so to stop the vehicle at a light for example you have to quickly shift to neutral or shut the car off. To begin driving again it has to be in gear but it moves right away so you are not able to have vehicle in gear while at idle. It's very dangerous and while looking into what the potential causes might be I noticed that this is a very common problem with these make and model cars especially between the years 2013-2015. I saw one article stating there recently was a recall for these exact issues with these vehicles but when attempting to look up my Vin it doesn't show anything?

While pressing down on the brake, it became very hard to fully pushed down. Makes a noise that sounds like air is being pushed through while the brake is being pressed down. Delayed stops due to it being so hard to press the brake down. Brake light comes on along with -??Service Electric Braking System-?? on dashboard.

06/08/2021. My daughter stopped to gas up at Costco when a notice came up on the dash "Engage Parking Brake to prevent Rollback". She immediately called me to make me aware of it. Once home she again get this message. 06/09/2021. My daughter drove to school with no issues. However, leaving school she was going slowly over a speed bump when the car automatically shifted into PARK. She lost acceleration and the car rolled backwards off of the speed bump while she was wrestling with controlling the steering. The car shuts off and she was unable to start it again. She immediately called me and told me the message displayed again from yesterday "Engage Parking Brake to prevent Rollback". Now the car won't start. I am now on my way to the school when she calls me back to say it started and she is on her way home. I told her to be very careful. 06/10/2021. I drove the car while my daughter followed me to the dealership. On the way to the dealership at every stop the message displayed "Engage Parking Brake to prevent Rollback". While at the dealership I explained the problem and I had brought all repair documents that stated the same issue occurred in a repair with my son (twice), with me, and now with my daughter. It all stem from gear shift cable/bushings/TCM/transmission, which then was covered under warranty or recall. I emphatically didn't want to waste time with a diagnostic when I am sure its related to past repairs. The service tech was trying to convince me it could be something else and the diagnostics will tell them the true cause. I was reluctant but agreed for the diagnostic. I did state that what that diagnostic will show is that the transmission/recall is faulty. 06/11/21. The service tech called me to say the car coded P07B4 [Park Positioning Sensor]. However he never called it a Transmission Park Positioning Sensor because in my opinion this part should be covered under the transmission warranty (see Manual - Parts Covered - Transmission:).

Parking brake on my 2013 Dodge Dart 1.4L turbo limited does not hold my vehicle in place. I have adjusted the cable several times and have replaced both rear calipers. I have noticed that the parking brake mechanism gets stuck in the loaded/parked position and will not return to it resting position. I have had to apply lubricant to it and manipulate back and forth to free it, after doing this I had to adjust the cable under the console. My car is a manual 6 speed transmission and it would nice to have a parking brake that would not have to adjust constantly.

When the brake pedal was push it was hard as a rock and no brakes, had to use the emergency brake to stop, almost getting hit in a intersection. Found that the power brake booster pump had seized and check valve to booster had failed introducing engine oil into brake booster. Dealerships have claimed it was no problem when recall was issued and another said recall has expired. I thought they have up to 8 to 10 years to fix safety recalls.

Back in the beginning of 2019 I started having issues with the transmission. It was causing a jerking motion when I accelerated and I brought it into the dealership not once but twice. I initially had a code come up stating that I needed to service the transmission. It would come on and clear itself before I could get it looked at. That was the first time I brought it in and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. It continued to happen over the next six months or more and when I brought it back to them and discussed the recall on the transmission they dismissed me as that wasn't the issue but, at that point I had to have it towed into the shop because of this issue since I was unable to drive it. They still have not fixed the transmission recall and I have had to have my car sitting for the last year and 2 months due to my inability to drive it because of whatever issues that were going on that they never fixed. I am unsure of the damage that this has caused and I am hoping that you guys will be able to help me figure out what I can do to have them now fix my car. Since there is possibly additional damage done to my vehicle due to them dismissing me I feel that it is their responsibility to fix that damage as well. The date I gave was an approximate date since it has been so long I am unsure of the exact date but can get a copy of the documents from the dealership if needed.

Federal recall in 2013 Dodge Dart on brake booster, serviced in 2016 for recall one part replaced for recall, the hose because they didn't find contamination then! now my car is unsafe to drive, sitting at crysler dealership now 2020 due to the brake booster manufacturing issue, as a safety recall, I the customer should not be responsible for cost to fix federal recall in my vehicle!!! if all parts of recall were replaced back when recall was issued I would not be running into safety issues relating to my problems now! my brake pedal goes to the floor, and is a safety hazard to drive with my family! safety recall R63 brake booster

The rear brake caliper / parking brake is corroding to the point of inoperability. We have already had Chrysler replace the rear caliper that was affected the first time, but it is now again sticking due to corrosion and rust. There is no protection to prevent salt and road debris from entering the bore of the shaft that engages the parking brake mechanism in the caliper. The car's parking brake lever will engage but the parking brake will activate. The car will continue to roll back (manual transmission). Other times, the parking brake will be activated by the lever, engage and will stick on, and cause the rear brakes to overheat when I drive away.

On 3 occasions. My clutch broke. I had it repaired 2 times and currently it went out again. I was driving during the time and lost power to my car. I also had replaced with the dealer my brake booster that went out 3 times.frustrated.

The rear brakes are locked up and wont release. The first time the calipers had to be changed out. This happened with in the first 3 years. This most recent time they locked up again I have not yet taken it in to the shop yet but it feels like the same problem and it has only been 3 years or so since they were last changed. The car only has about 40 thousand miles on it. This is a major safety problem. This could cause the brakes to catch on fire or even cause an accident. This really needs to be addressed.

E-brake stuck. I can release my parking brake, rear calipers are stuck.

ABS module developed an internal short. ABS module will not communicate with the vehicle's onboard computer. This results in the ABS braking system disabling itself. Warning lights illuminate on dashboard ie: ABS, traction control and brake. Chrysler corporation will not warranty the ABS module.

In motion: Loss of power - found oil in spark plug wells; dealership replaced well seals, plugs and ignition coil, continued to have problems; compression test was done and found all of my engine O rings were bad which would have happened at time of manufacturing. Had engine replaced at 100,000 miles in motion: Brakes - brake pedal will suddenly go all the way to floor and cause difficulty breaking in time. Happens sporadically; no none cause stationary: Electrical - car will unlock trunk instead of doors; fan knob will effect radio volume; bluetooth does not connect; happens sporadically; no none cause

I got in my parked car, started it up and tried to put the car in reverse but there was no tension when I lifted the lever on the shifter. The lever moved up and down and I could shift into any gear except reverse. Lifted shifter boot and found the reverse lockout cable was snapped. A month or so after, I was leaving my house and it was snowing. The roads were slick and as I got closer to the stop sign at the end of my street here in town, my car was sliding. Tried to use my emergency brake to get some traction so I could stop but, just like the reverse lockout cable lever, as I lifted the brake there wasn't any tension and the lever moved up and down freely. Luckily there weren't any oncoming cars in the intersection as I slid through. In both cases there wasn't a reason for these parts to suddenly stop working. Neither were used forcefully, my car has never been in an accident and I have 20 years experience driving manual transmissions. My car had less than 100K miles and neither were used excessively. Basically, the reason both of the parts just stopped working suddenly is unknown. I searched online for a replacement reverse lockout cable, I found that the whole shifter assembly has to be replaced as there was a difference in the length to correct a defect with the lockout cable (" yet no recall") now I can't even find a replacement part. I contacted mopar to ask if any other Darts had recalls related to my issues but I was told my parts have already been tested and cleared by the NHTSA and there was nothing more to do. Regardless, I feel reverse and the emergency brake are both critical and could easily pose substantial risk if defective.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. While engaging the emergency brake, it failed to hold. There were no warning indicators illuminated. When the contact pulled the emergency brake up, the calipers became stuck and failed to release. The brake was constantly rubbing against the rotors and caused the brake shoes to heat up. The contact stated that the calipers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact have the vehicle repaired and, if a recall were issued, he could be reimbursed. The failure mileage was 64,197.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that the brake pedal started to make noises when depressed. Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of medford (4540 grumman dr, medford, or 97504, (541) 930-3023) diagnosed that the brake cylinder fluid was leaking and it was only a matter of time before the brakes would fail. The mechanic recommended that the vehicle not be driven until it was repaired. The vehicle was repaired per an unknown recall in March of 2017 and the entire braking system was replaced because engine oil was leaking into the system. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The failure mileage was 99,000. The VIN was unknown.
