Wow I can't believe the number of people that have the same terrible problem! I cant even get my car from one end of city to the other without the service transmission light coming on then immediately after says "gear not available" it ends up driving similar to a stick shift where when I'm stopped after accelerating I have to take my foot off gas and press it again just to continue driving. The worst of my problem is when the car will just shut right off and Ive been stuck at busy intersections, highways and just wait to try and start it again. Sometimes it will start up after few minutes, other times an hour or not at all. Is there a way to communicate with the other posters to see if anyone has found a solution?!

The engine had a major failure. The timing belt housing completely fell apart causing the engine to be inoperable. The number 1 plug was completely bent.

My Name is Zach, and I am the driver of a 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye. I just finished going through the buyback process with dodge, and was told that there was nothing that Dodge would do to compensate me for my awful car.
This car has been a pain in the butt since I got it in 2012. The car has has a plethora of electrical issues, and the engine has turned off while I was driving 4 times. The car is not safe to be on the road, and Dodge could car less. Not only are they putting my life in danger, but they are also putting the lives of those on the road with me in danger.
The initial compensation for my car was an extended warranty. This made me feel like Dodge really looked into the case, because I already had purchased an extended warranty. To make a long rant somewhat short, I feel like dodge is putting money over the safety of its drivers, and a lawsuit must follow. If you have had problems similar to mine with any chrysler fiat vehicle, please reach out to me. The more people that I can get into a case the better the chance of being recognized. Dodge has messed with the wrong person. Please only contact me if you have documentation that show all of your issues on your vehicle. Email: zgellens@cox.net

Thy told me at Dodge that my car was shutting down because the oil was low WOW!!! Never in my life did I ever hear or see a car stop running because the oil was low. My daughter was driving her 2013 Dodge Dart when all of a sudden the car just dies so she try's to start it and it will not start. It actually was making a funny grinding noise. So finally I took it out for a ride and sure as the light of day it did the same thing to me. I brought it back to the dealer and they just called me and told me my car was ready. When I went to pick it up they told me the oil was low WHAT!!! No oil light came on no check engine light. They're trying to tell me that it's a oil problem. I just don't believe that. Anyone out have a solution?

Firstly, I'll get the Vin # after I meet with repair dept in near future. Vehicle has 27,400 miles had 1 issue with clutch sticking in the down position, numerous issues with lights and tire sensors. On Sunday 8/2 while driving on the freeway I nearly all power from the engine. I got the vehicle to a safe location and Dodge had it towed in to the dealership. I was contacted later that day explaining it was a transmission failure. However, on 8-6 I was contacted to confirm the engine had basically blow up. Tech plans to tear engine apart next week to get to full extent of damages but he expects it to be a full engine replacement and mentioned the torque converter also.
Update from Nov 22, 2015: Here we are 16 weeks later and it's still being repaired. New engine took 9 weeks and then another loss of power followed by the vehicle not acting the same. Needless to say never again.

Somehow blew an oil ring, the piston rammed into the spark plug and the engine died on me on the high way. I had 134550 km on it when it happened.
