The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that the key failed to release from the ignition switch. Additionally, the vehicle had to be shifted into park, then reverse, and then into first gear to release the key. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact called gengras Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (460 Connecticut blvd, East hartford, ct 06108, (860) 289-0246) and was informed that the part was not available. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer for a temporary remedy. The failure mileage was 66,000.

My car shuts off while driving at almost any speed; at times when I hit a hard bump, or make hard turns, and even when idling at times as well. Rpms shoot to zero and the engine shuts off leaving you only able to steer...I've had it in the shop at least twice for the issue since the first time it happened and each time whatever it is seems to be fixed until a few weeks/months later when it ends up happening again. The latest time was 04/08/19 on my way to work in the morning when I was merging onto the expressway; at about 40mph the car stalled and this happened 3 more times before I was able to make it to work.

I first started experiencing problems with my car in 2017 my car would overheat and shut off on me in the middle of the road. I took it into a Dodge dealership and they said it was my battery after that I had them change the battery. After maybe a day I went to work and the car shut off on me again. I then got an oil change and the car worked good for a few months until I came upon the problem again the car shut off on me in the middle of the highway. I always thought it was the oil because when it happens I change my oil and the car is fine after. I changed my oil recently and my car is still experiencing electrical problems the battery light turns on and it is a hassle to turn the car back on. I have read a lot of complaints on people who have the same car as me it is a big safety hazard to be stuck in the middle of the road I am not satisfied with my car especially since I keep up with the vehicle maintenance and it only has around 40,000 miles on it.

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 81,000.

My car shut off on its own while I was driving to work, so we were in motion. It has now happened 4 times to me in a span of 3 weeks. I can either be driving during the day or night. It will happen in the middle of driving or when I come to a stop sign and adding pressure to the brake. Once it happens, and if I put it in park as well, the stick shift will lock up as well. Battery needs to be replaced about every 6 months due to something draining the battery but nothing has been found. Electrical is all messed up, the computer system malfunctions. When car is turned on at randomly the air and music will go full blast and it cannot be turned down or shut off. Mechanically the car is running fine but the temperature gauge moves up and down while driving and while sitting still due to electrical issues. When driving on normal backroads or highways there is a loud clunking noise coming from the engine area and nothing has been found as to why it makes the noise.

Dart recall I brought the Dart in to do a reflash for my car to stop the harsh idle, choke and knock.also that the car shuts off from a rolling stop to acceleration after the reflash 2 days later the car continues to have the same problems several weeks later today 11/17/18 the car shut off as usual but in a intersection had to turn on the car and hope when putting it in drive the engine doesn't shutoff again in cold weather the vehicle has a knocking grind sound and occasionally will turn off if the idle drops low to 500 and then immediately applying little gas and the warm weather comes by or after first driven the grinding noise is gone but same issue when the idle drops to low the engine just does and battery light turns on the battery is good but this issue hasn't been fixed and when I went the said it's normal but they did a reflash

Driving car normally. I parked in a parking lot and went into a store. When I came out to start the car it would not start. Charging indicator light and check engine light came on. Auto zone was in the plaza so I had the guy come out and do a diagnostic. Codes were P0123, P2122, P2127, P0222, U0401. When the guy went back into the store the car started. When I parked again 10 minutes later the check engine and charge light disappeared. Car ran fine for one day. About 33 hours after that incident I parked the car at a park for lunch from work. Took a walk and when I returned car never came on. Dash was flickering, all lights illuminated, mileage was flashing, gauges were flickering, car would not turn over. Acted as if battery was dead. Had to walk back to work and have car towed by aaa after work. Car has been sitting for 4 days and will not turn on. New messages came up: Check electric braking system, check air bags, service tire pressure system and check anti lock brakes system. The tire light is on me because a sensor in the passenger tire broke when I got a flat hitting a curb while parking. I replaced the tire but not the sensor. Also now the uconnect and radio not coming on and battery light comes on, and when I made attempt to start a message came up stating engine warming up"?" that was weird. This all happened all of a sudden within a two day span. Now I am stuck paying for a car I cant drive that is going crazy electronically.

Driving on the open road the car looses power, can't steer can't accelerate. Very dangerous when traveling at 70 mph even at 35 thru the city. I have noticed online of all the complaints and Dodge just says I don't know what to tell you. The headlights have been intermittent since I purchased the car, I ended up having to have both ballasts and bulbs replaced, still experiencing this issue intermittently.
