My 2016 Dodge Dart keeps shutting off while driving. It's happened on the freeway and in my neighborhood. Dealer said it was low oil but I checked and the oil was fine. Yesterday I was in line at a gas station and the woman behind me asked if that was my Dodge Dart. She said she bought the same car for her daughter and it keeps shutting off. This is obviously a widespread problem and Dodge seems to be doing NOTHING about this!

While driving the vehicle it will randomly have complete loss of power without warning and the battery light would turn on. The Dodge dealer found a code u0415 ( ABS problem) and said because of that code engine shut off, $260 to fit that, but the problem still persist. This is the 3rd time after a fix that the car still randomly shutting off in a neighborhood speed 30mph. This is extremely dangerous and I am in disbelief nothing has been done about this. Are we waiting for someone to die to take action ?

So basically this is the 4th time my car has turned off while driving. The guys at the Dodge dealership really pissed me off when I took my car in. They didn’t take a look at my car at all they just said ohh it’s cause your engine oil is low. What kind of bullshit lie is that?

First of all I never have had low oil in my car. I always get my oil changes on time and always use full synthetic oil. The fact that he said it’s cause my oil is low really pissed me off because it’s just a straight up lie. Dodge would rather lie about whatever the problem may be than fix it.

The third and fourth time this happened I was in the middle of turning in a busy intersection and BOTH times I was almost hit by other drivers.this is a serious safety concern and I’m hoping a recall will be done.

I have filed two complaints with the NHSTA and also two complaints with the BBB. For all you dart owners out there, stay safe and may god be with us.

Also if anybody knows of the fix for this problem, or maybe would like to take legal action against Dodge please email me at isaiahmelville25@gmail.com

I was on my way to work in the morning. warmed up the car and proceeding to drive. I stopped to make a turn and the car shut off. I tried to restart the car with no success.after waiting about 15 minutes later the car restarted.. It was fine all day but the next morning it did it again at the same place. Thank God I wasn't on the highway or in a lot of traffic. I took it to the dealer and they said I need a oil change. I make it a point of getting regular oil changing for my car. Is this going to happen every-time the car feels it is time for an oil change. REALLY!!!!
