Engine overheating due to failure of the fan/clutch assembly. Mjs
- Tempe, AZ, USA
The cooling fan, when engaged, requires a significant portion of the available horse power. The cooling fan, in normal traffic conditions on cool summer day in Colorado, runs excessively. The change in available horse power between fan-engaged and fan-disengaged situations is a safety hazard in that one does not know how fast the vehicle will accelerate when the gas pedal is depressed fully. The difference is significant and striking.
