We bought this car for our college age daughter. It is awuflu. It dies when it gets warm and there is no way to steer it out of trafic. It should be banned from the road! I am willing to join any kind of legal action against Dodge since they seem to completely ignore the problem. This vehicle is UNSAFE!

Well about a few months ago the car started acting up, you would start it and than it would just shut off at idle,(after 5 - 6 min. of doing this you can get the car warm enought that it goes away and idles fine) also my oil pressure gage has been working erratically as well sometime at startup it shows full pressure and than fixes it self after driving. Its has progressively gotten worse as it gets colder outside. I had dodge look at it a few weeks ago they found nothing (no codes), I replaced the tps sensor nothing changed. Its really bad my wife and child where coming down a hill, which you are normally at idle and it decides to shut off and they slid into some bushes no damage luckily. But it is super hard to steer or break when the car shut off like that, this is extremely dangerous! I have been spinning my wheels trying to figure out whats the issue. Tonight I am trying a tune up plugs, wire, cap, rotor and looking for a vacuume leak if possible! please help if anyone has an answer.. Thanks for your time and don't get me wrong we love are Durango just wish there was a fix!

If car is idling in in warm weather for a couple of minutes, it will go dead for about 3 minutes. Had the computer rebuilt. Still doing this. Any ideas??

The sending unit for the idle was replaced 2 times and the problem still occurs from time to time. The problem is either from something else or the parts are defective. I went to 2 different places for the same problem and they both chose to replace that sending unit. I will NEVER buy another Dodge vehicle as every one has had some major problem whether it be the A/C, Transmission, front end, brakes etc... Each Dodge has the same problems and they don't resolve the problems, instead they continue to build cars with the same issues as the last year. I hope Dodge goes under and cannot continue to build the pieces of crap that they have in the last several years. I would rather own nothing than to have to own another Dodge!!
