I wish I did more research on this junk of a Dodge. I keep spending money on this car over and over. Same problem spindle and hub. The hub bearings keep falling out and it keeps costing me money. I'm sick of this car! I'm slapping a for sale sign on it. After me looking this up and see everyone else with the same. This junk is hurting my pockets. I can't do this any more. A brand new spindle costs $950 at dealership. I don't have money like that, and the hub is about $100. I already bought 3 hubs in the last 3 months. It makes no sense... why would you make sh*t like this? I'm really stressed about this Durango. Very disappointed!

I bought a 1999 dodge Durango at a good deal $1500. Was I wrong!! First I had to have tune up. New rear brakes. Water pump. Motor sensor, Front brake pads. So I thought ok it should be good. I was driving to doctors appt 3 miles from my house started to here grinding noise. Thank god I was driving slow. Turned into parking lot and tire blew like a bomb went off! The Front wheel bearing had snapped in half. My mechanic said if I would have been going fast I would have been really hurt. So I replaced both front wheel bearing hub assembly's. So when it was in there I had the front brakes fixed. New calipers rotors pads. I drive it a couple more days and the thing is out of control. Wheel shook. Thought maybe tire out of balance. No not it. Bought 4 new tires and went to have it aligned! They can not do it. Need New ball joints upper lower both sides, New tie rods inner outer both sides. New cv joints. I said forget it parked it and put for sale sign on it. This since I bought it has been sitting in garage 5 days a month every month since I bought it. Stay away from and dodge SUV!!

Same song/second verse...wheel bearings are toast and they say they have to be replaced not repacked. Along with all the rest of the front end/suspension problems this just puts the final finish on my overall disenchantment with Dodge/Daimler/Chrysler. They obviously do not give a damn about their customers or pride in the quality of their product. Apparently it's all about the money. I am through with this automaker and will take every opportunity to dissuade everyone I can from buying from them.
