We just got another call on this 2000 Durango apparently the issues are the same for every Dodge Durango from 1999 to 2007 vehicle stalls at any speed at any time any where wet or dry common problem on all Durangos and no easy fix or solutions not even from Chrysler we americans are wondering when you will issue a safety recall on this particular brand model and years or will you just ignore this email until someone's stalls on the 70 -75 miles per hour fast lane of the highway with there kids or loved ones and is killed ?? come NHTSA this is a very serious matter.

The vehicle started making a loud humming noise in the rear end coming from the rear differential at around 30 mph, and gets loud while increasing speed. Dealership wants $1200 just to install a new one, price does not reflect the $2500 rear differential. Widespread problem, and no action I being taken. Obviously a flaw on there end, the car has not been beat and in pristine condition. Called about this problem, only for them to tell me the warranty expired 10 years ago, obviously but everyone's warranty expired and are helpless because of a problem arose by them.

Vehicle stopped running while driving on highway. Engine shut down to 400 (four hundred) rpms. Pulled to side of highway luckily and engine shut off. Would not start. I have owned this truck for 12 years. Something started smoking and possibility of fire was a major concern.

Winding sound in steering when tuning wheel, horible sound while turning wheels and backing up, door locks are in locked position (can't open to get out of car and loud sound going off when door locks are supposed to self lock at 25 mph)bought car in 2001, after 6 mo took car to dearership to report problems while still under warranty and they said nothing was wrong. Still have paperwork to show of the complaints.I have 3 small grandchildren I take care of and Transport in the vehicle. Hope you people do something about this before someone dies or you will really be out of pocket. I have less that 60,000 miles on SUV so this can't be due to wear and tear. ( I marked oem yes if that pertains to original parts on SUV).

Within 3 years and 36,000 miles, I've experienced numerous mechanical defects w/ this Durango: 2 crankshaft sensors, 1 camshaft sensor, failure of power door locks, erratic idle, replacement of rotors (28,000 miles) and most recently, the need for a new universal joint, rear axle.
