The brake line to the front driver's side wheel cylinder is directly under the battery. This line does not have any kind of protective shielding to prevent battery acid residue from depositing on the line. I have had this line, and the battery, replaced once by the dealer at 26468 miles. Now the dealer does not want to replace the brake line again at 36500 miles. This is being blamed on a faulty battery, that would be prorated. They say corrosion on the brake line is not a problem. It seems like potential brake line failure is a hazard to me. My wife drives this vehicle daily and this is the good family car. I've never had a vehicle that did not have a shield of some type under the battery to prevent this type of corrosion.
