Durango 4WD 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles
2002 Dodge Durango. Car engine "surges" when starting to drive, then returns to normal after a few hundred yards. Occurs at speeds of 10-20 mph. Reported to dealer. Dealer unable to reproduce problem. Occurs randomly, but about 1-2 a month. Car also stops and will not restart. Recurs randomly and without warning. Local mechanic feels problem could be powertrain control module related. Occurs at speeds of 0-60 mph.

Electronic controls of safety equipment do not funtion properly. Turn signals, lights, cruise. Gauges, windows, radio, airbag etc.. all have malfuntioned since the car was picked up from the dealer. It is obvious that a electrical problem exists in the vehicle but doddge/Chrysler is un willing to address the issue.this is an ongoing issue. I have numerous witnesses and have started video recording the problems.
