AC was working with no problem. Stopped the vehicle, went into a store for 5 minutes and when I started the car-nothing-no air hot or cold. Checked the fuse=OK. Next day started the car no problem. Made a stop and again nothing no air hot or cold. complete silence from AC or heater. This happened on 3 separate occasions.

I was pissed off because I have kids and it made me not want to put them it the vehicle at all. By being a single mom working and going to school I needed my vehicle. I traveled back and forth to Quality Auto Sales to get it fixed and they half did the job. Cause I was back after that. It was supposed to be fixed and it's not cause I'm having the same problems and some now.

a problem that should be a recall. Evaporator is sub-par 1200.00 to fix at dealer. Many complaints in blogs from Dodge owners.

a/c blows cold at first start up. after veh shut off and restarted say 2 hours later after church, it wont get as cold. air blows warmer air. Dealer charged nearly 200.00 to tell me no leaks and they couldn't find a problem. I still have same problem. during a subsequent startup, the air compressor output line doesn't get that cold. question if these have junk compressors... vehicle has only 44k miles. Evaporator is working. I don't hear the compressor click ever--I hear it making noise and cooling the line but no cycle clicking. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks,....... Jeff

The air conditioning is horrible. We have a new baby in the house and literally no air makes it to the second row of seating. We are thinking of getting rid of the car just because of the air conditioner. I have take it to two different dearlerships and after charging me $500 they told me nothing was wrong with my system and that it just wasn't a great year for the air conditioning on the 2003! I am desperate. Love the car, bu need air conditioning! It blows, but not very strong, and the air is barely cool. It takes a good 20 minutes of driving just to get the car a little cool!

My a/c didn't feel like it was producing the cold air that was normally putting out so I added 1 can of R134a just in case and directly after that the a/c has put out nothing but hot air. The compressor will kick on for about 3-5 sec but once it kicks off the air is "HOT" again. I have read in some other forums that Dodge has a program that they can input into the "brain" of the car to tell it to correct itself, however I have not confirmed this, if anyone knows please pass it on. Could it possible be overcharged, I am heading to a mechanic today to have the pressure checked, etc... will forward any new info.

The air conditioning in my vehicle has been operating erratically for the past several months. When the AC is switched on, and the compressor cycles on, the system blows ice cold air. As soon as the compressor cycles off, the air immediately blows warm (even though the AC is still switched on). When the compressor cycles on again, the air becomes cold almost immediately. The selling dealer looked at the system initially over a year ago and said it was functioning normally. The vehicle is going in again tomorrow, to another dealer, to be looked at again. I have read this is a common problem with DaimlerChrysler products. My AC is reaching the point where it DOESN'T work now more than it actually does.
