Driving to work with the heater on and it stopped working. Turned dial on and off and hear nothing. Brought to mechanic who replaced the blower back in July 2015. The mechanic said the transistor was fried and needs to be replaced. I need heat now that it is winter!!

Seems the heater blower motor resistor overheated, and also melted the pigtail.
The blower motor may be the ultimate cause, but am unsure.
So far, I replaced the resistor, but will replace the pigtail also, soon.
Resistor was $10.
Harness is over $50 locally, cheaper online.
Motor is $75-$100, but a pain to replace, from what I've read. May be able to get by till spring when it's warmer to work on it.
