Durango SLT 4.7L

pulling into my drivway the spare tire fell off from under my suv. Tire was never use or moved. The spare tire cable broke. You can see the rust were it broke off. Emailed dodge and was told that it's my prob. I have looked this up on the net and many people have had the same prob. One person had this happen on the highway and it flipped his suv and killed him. This is a fault with design not wear and tear. dodge need to fix this prob fast. there are many older doge trucks and suv with this just waiting to happen. Like i said i was pulling in to my driveway and bang it just FELL OFF.
