Durango SLT 4.7L V8

The driver door lock switch would no longer activate the tail gate latch. Since there is no key lock for the latch, I had to have the dealer crawl into the back to take off the panel and open the gate to replace the "broken" latch. Once again I have to replace yet another part that should never break from normal wear. Does this mean I get to look forward to the other door latches failing in the near future? No wonder Dodge is struggling. No excuse for a company to sell a vehicle with poor design and parts. Thanks also to the UAW for taking pride in your work
