Durango SLT 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

The quality of paint, primer, prep, and undercoat is crap. I live in the rust belt of upstate New York and rust is going to happen, but I've never had a vehicle rust through a quarter panel like my Durango. I've seen the same rust condition in the same spots in the year ranges of Durango/Aspen. My issue is that the driver rear quarter panel is almost completely gone because of rust. The only way to fix this condition is to cut it out and weld in a new piece of sheet metal. The paint job is poor and Dodge could care less. I won't pay to get this issue fix because it should not happen to the degree where you can watch the panel disappear in a time span of 6 months.

Durango LX V8

We purchased a 2005 Dodge Durango in 2007 the milage was 24151. The rear interior lighting went bad shortly after we purchased the vehicle. The problem with the gas tank and the the rust that started showing up around 2008 on the rear fender and in other locations on the SUV. We are very very disappointed with what we paid for the suv and the poor quaility. We will not purchase another Durango

Durango Limited Hemi 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

I see that this is a defect. I have. 2005 Limited Hemi 5.7 V8 burgundy Durango. The bubble paint and rust is on the rear fender under the gas tank and on the license plate on the hatch. In addition the front "chrome" on the grill is wrinkled. Yes, wrinkled. I pulled up next to an exact duplicate of my Durango and his was doing the exact same thing in the exact same places...

I went and googled this and there are many others that have this issue. The rear fender has rusted thru..this can not be ignored. I paid too much money for this. I love the Durango. This is my third one but if I can not get any results it will be my last and I will not endorse any Dodge product.

Dodge does know this is an issue and wants to sweep it under the rug. Has anyone had any luck? This is not a warranty issue, it's a defect. How can so many people have the EXACT SAME ISSUE?

Durango 5.7L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

I think this problem has to do with gas shooting out of the tank every time I fill it up. The rust is actually through the sheet metal so I think it started on the inside (server inches below the gas door. I had it repaired (along with the rust on the hatch and bottom of doors), but it came right back a month later. Now trying to figure out how to get it fixed correctly.
