problem #1

Sep 282012

Durango XLT 4.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 59,000 miles

Family vacation Sept, 2012 while on Hwy. 74 headed to beach, in section where speeds of 70 mph, transmission started slipping, RPM's up and down sometimes nearing red zone, fly apart, self destruct, you name it! Vehicle finally straightened out, resumed driving, from then on it jerks, bucks, cut off while idle and slow speeds. Really bad between 35 and 45 mph! Warranty out, had Amaco Transmission check out, brass filings in transmission pan, bad torque converter suspected, also bad solenoids, cost minimum $2700.00. Typical American made crap if you ask me, I will never own another vehicle, said to be made in the United States. Maybe that's the problem SAID TO BE MADE IN THE UNITED STATES, well 95% of the parts that makes up vehicles now days here are of foreign origins. America has sold itself out, with importing less than acceptable manufactured parts! I could go on, and on, but the BUCK STOPS HERE!, NO MORE, SO CALLED AMERICAN CARS, for me; or my family. Their safety is at risk with vehicles of such nature!
