The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Durango. She noticed that the head and tail lights were turning on and off on their own and the inside of the vehicle had a mildew odor. The dealer confirmed that the odor was in a tube that was located on the sun roof. The dealer stated the water drained from the tube into the instrumental panel. The dealer stated that they would clean the tube but they would not clean the mildew. The manufacturer advised the contact to write a letter to the manufacturer. She stated that the manual does not advise the owner about the tube located on the sun roof; therefore, they should be responsible for the entire cost of repair. The vehicle was left at the dealer. The failure and the current mileage were 79,885. The drain tubes that were coming from the sunroof were clogged. Updated 01/12/10. Updated 03/18/10
