After having our 2011 Dodge Durango at the dealership and Midas the last 2 weeks, just this morning it was towed back to the dealership. This time we are receiving a a check battery light and smoke is coming from under to hood. Looks like it is coming from the alternator. In the last 6 months we have had to replace: catalyst converter, O2 sensors, starter, another round of catalytic converter replacement and now we have no idea what the issue is! After doing some google searching, we found that there was a recall for 2011 Dodge Durango alternators but it does not seem that our Dodge Durango falls under the recall, even though we have all the same issues and our vehicle matches the descriptions. In these last 6 months we have paid almost $3500.00, which is almost more than this car is worth! Chrysler, you made a lemon!!!!

Car totally lost all power. First Battery light came on, I was on my way home from work, kept driving because there were no symptoms. All of a sudden all kinds of crap started flashing, car totally quit, smelled burning, opened up hood and SMOKE was coming from alternator.
