Talked w/ dealer I bought from and asked if there was an easy fix (yeah, I know funny). First thing asked, what's the mileage? I told him 52000 miles and was told, you're looking at around 800 dollars for the repair. It is what it is, didn't go into too much detail, but I guess it's there are a lot of Durango owners having this issue too?
I've heard the driver's side, but not the passenger side. Pretty much giving up on US made vehicles after this one. First US vehicle, GMC Sonoma, after getting 75000 mile service done, GMC service center, said strong vehicle, should last for many years to come. I think he meant by many years, was maybe 2 weeks, engine seized. Needless to say, I've lost faith in US made vehicles, back to foreign vehicles for me.
