The cup holders are located within an inch of the gear shifter. As I was rushing my kids into daycare, I accidentally spilled my hot tea on the gear shifter. I was unable to shift the car from park and had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership, where they say this is not a warranty issue. I realize I spilled the hot tea, but I would assume that an electrical component which allows the vehicle to drive would be sealed or coated enough to keep the vehicle driving.
I am being charged $750.00 to replace these parts and I think Chrysler should pay for them because clearly their gear shift area is not sealed at all.
