problem #2

Durango Citadel 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 87,000 miles

Oil dripping onto the exhaust causing the smell to come through the air vents went to the garage. The dealer said this is common with Dodge's and tried to get a metal replacement and couldn't, so this tied up the car for two days and had to settle for another plastic one. $1012.00 later and NOT covered under my bumper to bumper warranty.

Cracked oil filter housing, smell of oil dripping onto the exhaust and coming through the air vents, repair shop said this is a common problem with Dodge Durango's, products that the factory uses a plastic oil filter housing instead of a metal one and it's a very common problem. No metal ones to be found, had to get another plastic one, vehicle tied up for two days and a bill of $1012.00 and it was NOT covered under my bumper to bumper warranty!
