It started with the passenger side blinker. I turned it on and after a few seconds I received an alert on my dash saying the indicator was not working. I figured, "oh well, the bulb must have burnt out." I stopped by an auto parts store on the way home and purchased a new bulb for my husband to install later. The next day I had forgot to mention to my husband about the out bulb, and it magically started working again! Weird, right? But the story continues. A day later it alerted me again on the dash. This time I remembered to tell my husband and he went to replace the bulb that evening. After removing the old bulb, he stated that it was not burnt out and didn't know why the car was alerting me to a bad indicator. Since the package came with 2 LED bulbs he went ahead and replaced the drivers side as well, even though I hadn't had any troubles with that one, yet. It worked just fine for a few days, but the saga continued...

I would drive for a while, just fine with both blinkers working. Then one (or both) the indicators would alert that they aren't working and start doing the quick flash on the dash, but when looking outside they both are working and flashing at the normal speed. After looking on here, we decided it might be the sockets that needed replaced or something needed to be reprogrammed, so we took it to the dealership since it's still under warranty. I just got a call that they replaced the bulbs back to the filament type because LED uses too little energy for the circuit to be completed and that is causing the system to think the bulbs aren't working. So pretty much, they think it's our fault for replacing the bulbs with LED (even though it was doing the intermittent working/not working before they were put in). So, I'll see how much they try to charge us for that!! I bet they didn't even do any research to see this is a common problem and it can't be fixed by just changing out the bulbs. Especially since it started back when the filament types were still in!!

Ok - so the videos show how to save yourself $300 to swap out the bulb on the drivers' side blinker, so we bought the LEDs thinking shoot we'll just send it back to amazon if Dodge shorts out my light again. but now we have an entirely different issue where regardless of whether I have the LED or the regular light installed on the PASSENGER side blinker (because I touched it I guess) it now goes in and out saying "RIGHT SIDE BLINKDER OUT" - and that's EVEN WHEN IT WORKS!??!!! Wth DODGE? Why is the computer thinking the blinker is out when I see it works? Granted, the stupid left side stopped being dumb but now is there some attenuation or something that the computer doesn't like since you burned out my first bulb and it's causing issues at the right side? My wife HATES the fast "dinker dinker dinker dinker" not knowing whether she's safe to tell people in front of her/oposite side traffic she's turning right! You need to cover this under warranty because it is absolutely YOUR issue and not your customers. It's not a bulb problem - it occurs with ANY bulb and it's not even going as far to short this right side out - it just says "RIGHT SIDE OUT" and YOU NEED TO RECALL AND FIX THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM! Next up, BBB and attorney general unless you call me and welcome me in to fix this IMMEDIATELY!
