Replacing the rack & pinion 10k miles after warranty expires.

My 2015 Dodge Durango is the second Durango I've driven. First I had a 2013 that I had to trade in because the engine was basically breaking itself down. I had to replace the Rack and Pinion on the 2013 RIGHT before the warranty expired. Here I am on the 2015 having to replace the SAME THING 13,000 AFTER the warranty expires.

This is obviously a consistent problem with Durangos. As it's happened on both my cars right at or just after the expiration of the warranty--it's almost like they know it will need to be replaced and doesn't want to cover it.
