My wife was driving down the road when out of no where her headrest just deployed slamming into the back of her head. After examining the headrest it was clear that a plastic piece had deteriorated causing the headrest to release.

The contact owned a 2016 Dodge Durango. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact fell asleep and crashed into a utility pole. The vehicle nosedived into a ditch. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained a fractured back. The contact's wife sustained third degree burns to the right side and back. The contact's son sustained a whiplash. Everyone received medical attention. A police report was filed. The police towed the vehicle to an unknown lot. The contact's insurance company was contacted, sent out an adjuster, and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The dealer and manufacturer were made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,000.

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Durango. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V352000 (air bags); however, the part for the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
