My son rented a UHaul trailer to tow a motorcycle. When he returned the Durango, he indicated that he had trouble stopping.
The brakes were fine (and still are) without a tow situation.
Considering I am planning to tow a combined weight of 6000 lbs in the spring, I am concerned that the brakes are not adequate for this towing situation.
I reviewed the specifications with the factory installed tow package and there is no mention of the brakes being upgraded to handle a max of 6200 lbs tow capacity.
I brought this issue to the attention of the service dept. when I also spoke to them about the "load leveling suspension" the factory tow package includes. This braking problem was not even addressed.
