Durango SX 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,200 miles

I bought this Durango in Kellog Idaho. I drove it from there to Anchorage Alaska in February 2020. About 2700 miles. I have since put about 3500 more miles on it, all city driving. I have towed a 23' Keystone RV trailer (less than 5K in weight) about 5 times in 2 summers. About 4 months ago it sounded like the muffler was banging against something. I took it in and they said both shocks are failing. I use a WDH on the trailer, so that should not have affected the shocks. The dealership said they didn't think that would be either as the Durango has the complete trailer package. This seems to be really early for shocks to go out. I have 2 more summers to tow the trailer as I'm retiring in a couple years and leaving the state for warmer temps.
