The rear windshield wiper didn't work and the airbag light was always on. I had brought it in for them to look at why the airbag light was on. The mechanic couldn't find the problem. Unrelated I thought maybe the reason the rear wiper wasn't working was that the fuse was blown. I went to an auto store picked up the fuse, replaced the old one and bingo the rear wiper worked. To my surprise the airbag light wasn't on any more. When I looked in the owners manual I found out that the rear wiper and the airbag were on the same fuse. It was as easy as that. I don't know why the mechanic didn't think to replace the fuse.
