The tires were guaranteed for 65,000 miles but the front driver side tread separated while the contact was driving 75 mph with 24,000 miles on them. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.

I own a 2000 Dodge Caravan grand sport. I have four (4) winterforce M&S tires. I'm not sure but this may be the third or fourth winter they have been on the car. While coming home Saturday evening at about 6:00pm with my wife and child, I turned left into my road, cider mil rd, from route 316, traveling about 15 - 20 mph, when my right front tire "blew out" with a large noise and immediately went flat. It totally compromised my steering. I managed to limp it into cider mill rd. When I removed the tire I found a complete tear from the bead to the top of the tread on the inside of the tire. The tire information is; winterforce M&S, dot vn6V, W63, 1403, A03D, 215/65R/16, 358036xbm29362-2, made in Canada.their was no debris in the road and it was a clear evening. There are no obvious markings/defects showing on the tire. The inflation on the other tires is ok. I have not had a problem with this tire.

The contact stated there have been numerous electrical problems which resulted in the dashboard panel lights flashing on and off while driving. She took the vehicle to a dealer for multiple attempts to correct this problem. Also, there was a leak within the roof, resulting in damage to the carpeting. There is a slashing sound within the roof compartment after a heavy rain. The carpet has been replaced five times, and the television was replaced once as a result of the leak.. updated 11/30/2005 - glazed serpentine belt caused grinding noise when turning. The left middle seat head rest came loose from the guide rod. The door sticks and the siding door makes noise when opening. The rear window rattles when opened. The fog lihjt are ionpertive. The horn spunded weak because the keyless entry remote needed to be reprogrammed. The tail light had moisture in it. The locking gas cap was hard to open. The rear tire had a slow leak.

I was traveling on the highway at 55 mph with my wife and 3 kids in my 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. Suddenly the passenger side rear tire blew out and we heard a loud rumbling noise. I was able to cross over 2 lanes to get to an exit without losing control or hitting any other vehicles, my wife and kids were very shook up. After inspecting the blown tire I found 3 seperate slits in the side of the tire were it appeared the sidewall just blew out. I could not find any trace of a nail or any other object in the treads or the sidewall. I brought the tire to national tire and battery and the technician told me that the rim was slightly bent and that this caused the blow out. I am expecting to pay about $135 for the repair, but I have talked with several people who know tires fairly well and they said a slightly bent rim should not have caused this problem. I am more concerned that the other 3 tires may blow at any time and that my family could be at risk. I am asking the technician to check all the tires for any defects after experiencing this, hopefully if there is an issue they will not hide it from me so they can make a profit. I feel like I was very lucky there were no injuries in this case, but I worry about the next time. (tiresize: P215/65R15)
