what a PITA to swap out! most of the bolts are easy to get to but there's that ONE in the back by the firewall you KNOW dodge engineers put a secret camera just to record you cursing like a sailor to get out. There was only enough room for the wall of my socket between the firewall and bolt head. Be sure to get a swivel extension before even trying to replace it.

It appears this is a common problem. Why not recalled?

I have to have the heater on high in the cold michigan winter and it sucks bc i cannot hear my 4 year old son in the back seat he has wet 2 now because I couldnt hear him telling me he had to go!!!!!

Heater blower was working fine and now only works on high. Just started looking for the solution so I don't have any answers yet, although one question site said it was a not the blower motor itself but a blown resistor, which sounds logical to me since the blower motor still runs on high. So that is the course I will pursure for the present to find a wiring diagram, find the resistor and see if I can test and replace it.

Pain in the tush with a long history of miscellaneous "pesky" problems with Caravan. Mid and rear heat/aC have never worked effectively, spare tire is a nightmare to change/remove and now this. Really sucks when you have 3 very young kids and have to freeze them or overheat them so you can also talk to them!

Reading other posts here, I have the same problem. Noticed last fall that the fan only works on high. This van has turned out to be nothing but a P.O.S. I will never buy another Chrysler/Dodge vehicle. I will look into what it will cost to fix based on posts here, but I will live with it if I have to. It just amazes me how quality is no longer a word used by American-made vehicles anymore. You are lucky to get 100,000 miles out of any American vehicle anymore without significant electrical or mechanical problems.

I got this fixed at a local shop and they put in an aftermarket NAPA blower that quickly quit blowing in just 2 days. It makes a repetitive rattling noise when it is on and increasingly blows less and less. They said the only way to fix it is to get a genuine chrysler part that costs over $300. I cannot afford it right now so I am having them replace the NAPA blower, hoping that will suffice for a little while.

The Blower resister back behind the glove box keeps blowing 1-4 speeds. Hi always works. I have replaced this twice but I don't know what is causing them to blow out. A guy at NAPA said the blower motor could be drawing to many amps. A new motor is like 300.00 dollars.

When we bought this van as a used van we didnt know that the blower in it didnt work on all levels. it only works on the high level and it really gets hot in the van. then we have to turn it off it should have not been like that when we bought it.
