The headlight is totally supported by only 3 plastic tabs which are all on the top side so the light can flutter in response to rough roads and streets which we seem to have in abundance. If the light assembly was supported by it's lower side and upper side at the same time , I don't think it would break the plastic tabs that support it. It's quite heavy to hang on such a flimsy mounting. When I installed the replacement light I added a tether to retain it from falling on the road and dangling from it's own wires if it should break a second time.
