I got home from class last night and everything seemed to be fine in the Caravan. No weird smells or noises or anything. The next morning my mother went out to warm it up before work and she noticed the doors weren't unlocking automatically. So she opens it manually and when she opened the door it introduced a lot of cold oxygen which accelerated the fire dramatically. So we called 911 and they determined it was electrical. So I called Dodge soon after and they opened up a case file and said they are going to send an investigator over to look at what happened.

I was at a family members house looking at a plumbing issue they was having. I took my tool bag out to my van, open the hatch and put in the same spot I have been for years. I went back in to talk to them. It was about 5 minutes later a neighbor came banging on the door. He was yelling get someone's van is on fire. I went out and of course it had to be mine. The only thing I could tell was the the back hatch wasn't latched fully. I got a water hose and extinguished the fire. Not really sure what the cause could be. My only assumption is, that there is a circuit board at the spot of most damage. Not really sure what is controls, but it is my belief that is the conductor.
