At only 33000 miles, my 2004 Anniversary Edition Grand Caravan had completely worn the right front rotor to the point it could not be salvaged. the left brake however, was not in bad shape, and still had pad to be used. I took the car to the dealer, only to be told "This is normal for the brakes to wear unevenly". ARE THEY INSANE!!!! Consequently, I paid $200 to have the brakes and rotors replaced. Today, the van has not quite 35000 miles (not even 2000 on new brakes!) and the rotors are already grooved. 1500+ of the miles have been on the freeway! Not too much braking going on there. Today, the dealership called to inform me that they have looked at the brakes, and everything is fine! No problem with the pads, rotors or the calipers. I find this really hard to believe. I love the van. It is really nice to drive (when not in the shop for one repair or another) and is very comfortable for my family. I am quite disappointed in the amount of service it has had to be in for. Beside the brakes, the dealership has replaced almost the entire front end, as it sounded and felt like it was falling off.
