The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving 40 mph, the alternator completely detached from the vehicle without warning. While the engine was running, the vehicle lost all function and was towed to the contact's home. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
