This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
This problem has been on going for quite sometime (over 2 years). When I first talked to the local Dodge dealer they said that the alarm had to be on before they could see the problem. The light goes on and off, so about the time I had time to take the van in the alarm would be gone. I finely got in with alarm on. They said that it was the driver seat belt tensioner circuit open. They quoted the cost between $500-$600 to repair. I didn't have the money for that at the time. Now more about the alarm. It only comes on when the temperature is over 60-65 degrees. It doesn't seem to come on during the winter.
I think that as this is a safety issue Dodge should fix this at no cost to us. I spoke to a local mechanic and he said it should cost a lot less than what they quoted, as it was a sample fix to unbolt the drivers seat and replace a cable. If I can't get Dodge to fix this at no cost I guess I'll have him fix it, but I just don't feel I should have too.

Trying to get Chrysler to fix this known issue, but they are saying the miles are out of coverage and I need to pay to have it fixed!

We noticed that the airbag light was on so we brought it in to the local dealer for repair. The mechanic called us and told us the two of the airbag sensors and the wiring harnesses were badly corroded and needed to be replaced. He then told us that this was NOT covered by our Chrysler Added Care Plus 7/70 extended warranty. He also mentioned that he would add dielectric grease so this would never happen again. Looking through the warranty documents, I noticed that it mentioned that all wiring harness were covered. I called the warranty center and they confirmed that this problem is the result of the "Act of God"; therefore it is not covered by the warranty. Since when does God spread salt on the roads? Apparently these warranties are only covering manufacture defects. IMO, not adding dielectric grease to the wiring harnesses in the first place is a defect. I can't wait for the other sensors/wiring harnesses to fail as well.

This is the second time this sensor has come on for no apparent reason. The first time was when the van was only 6month old. Dealer told me they just had to resent the sensor and then 5 minutes after leaving the lot, the sensor was back on. I took the van back right away and they replaced the sensor but it was under warranty. I'm sure it won't be this time:(

airbag sensor light, 3rd time in the shop. the first 2 times they said it was the air bag sensor, this time they said it was the clock sensor and it was finally out of warranty so I had to pay 250.00. I would personally like to thank Daimler Chrysler with a big f@**you.

air bag light on the instrument panel comes on about 10 minutes into driving. sometimes the passenger airbag light is light. not sure what the problem is, but probably the sensor????

The air bag light started coming on intermittently at 60k miles. Dodge wanted to charge me $90 just to do a diagnostic. I waited thinking I might be able to fix it myself. A friend did a diagnostic for me and found the problem with the Up Front Air Bag sensors. According to NHTSA and DaimlerChrystler, there is a recall going into effect in July 2007 for these sensors on vehicles in states with high use of road salt which caused the brass fittings on these sensors to corrode faster. Now I have to wait for the formal letter from Dodge before getting it fixed, unless I want to pay up front and have them reimburse me at a later date.

Had the vehicle for a short time, air bag light came on. Wife took it to the dealer to check out and they would not let her leave with it. A real hassle to rent vehicle. wife ended up walking home. Dealer had van for 8 days before getting the right part. never went back to that dealer, Bruce Campbell Dodge
