The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The vehicle was modified with hand controlled brakes. While driving 65 mph, the brakes failed when depressed. The driver swerved to avoid a crash, but ended up crashing into a cement barrier. The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. The vehicle modification company examined the black box and concluded that the brakes did engage. The vehicle was not equipped with air bags. The purchase date was unknown.
