radio digital volume control is eratic to turn up or down
dealer said only way to fix, is new radio, very expensive though. I'm not satisfied this is the answer. maybe this should be on a recall if it's a regular problem with chrysler products?

Car was bought from dealer as a used vehicle, second owner, came with 20K miles. Rear speakers, especially bass, always rattled. Lo and behold that was a recall, and those speakers were replaced, no cost. Still not great. Then sound started cutting in/out altogether, volume would need to be at max to hear whispers, until we lost the am radio frequency only (no more traffic reports for us). So, ever since, we have no am, but regular volume, except that when playing DVD or CD, volume must be at max. I have no money to investigate this but what a pain in the butt, and I am SURE it is NOT, as the dealership wants to tell the stupid old housewife, "because you forgot to unscrew the antennae when you went through the car wash"....oh, so it's my and the car wash's fault, despite millions of people going through millions of car washes without losing radio reception, for decades....wow, I must have some special powers there!
