Was stopped on a left turn traffic light then suddenly heard a faint loud sound. Light turned green and upon pulling, was caught by surprise as the steering wheel was hard as rock to turn, almost causing the van to wander into opposite traffic. After safely parking the van, there was oil dripping into a pool of oil under the engine compartment. I managed to drive the van to a local shop where the mechanic found a busted steering hose, and advised not to drive until fixed as there was a risk of burning out the power steering pump. Took two days to order the part. The fix ran me 350$.
Update from Jan 13, 2016: Bought this van brand new at dealership back in 2010. Pathetic reliability so far and countless hours spent at dealer under warranty to have various issues fixed (rear suspension, brakes, etc.). So at about 35000 km, on that day, I was stopped on a left traffic light then suddenly heard a strange but faint sound, resembling a small explosion.
