The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted an abnormal odor and the brakes seized while driving various speeds. Upon inspection, the contact noticed that the passenger side brake caliper was smoking. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was previously taken to an independent mechanic and the calipers were replaced. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,703. The VIN was not available.
